Re: Areas to install Gauges
Getting off topic, but I will indulge
It is putting out 182 RWHP at 8,200. I will have it again at round 2 of the Time Attack at QR on 01/05/14.
To keep on topic...
The warning lights on the A pillar (Red water/oil temp over 120 deg c & Blue for no collant flow). The coolant flow is also hooked up to a 120db alarm (near the cigarette lighter). The oil pressure and water temp gauges no longer work on the dash. I may replace these with something later, maybe the warning lights.
Above the warning lights is the Racelogic display, gives lap times etc or road speed (handy when driving). Shift light (comes on at 5,500 flashes at 8,000).
I like my gauge faces as when the tacho needle is vertical it is at 7,000 rpm. The speedo needle was set up to match the sweep of the tacho.
Steering wheel buttons, plan was to use one for PTT (still working out the wiring for this as the radio goes through the Terraphone intercom. Other button, not sure, possibly on/off data logger.
That is the cockpit tour. Please buckle your seatbelts and keep hands inside the vehicle...

It is a Ecliptech Shift-I and I got mine from where a lot of my money goes, Race Industries http://www.racerindustries.com.au/afawcs0161689/CATID=250/Shift-Lights.html
However they are a little bit cheaper buying direct, but Racer Industries have so many nice things in their store .... (https://ecliptech.com.au/shift-i/)

You know it's traditional to replace the oil pressure gauge with a Boost gauge...... Just sayin.....

Been/being discussed, however not in 2014. I would need to go back to WA to fund it and I'm not planning on doing that soon. Plus I just want to enjoy and drive the car.
Anyway, I want to get some more skill as a driver before its gets changed. But, for a turbo the compression would have to be lowered, a turbo Plenum like Jenvey's fitted to the ITB's (again space issues) as well as possible cam changes. Anybody need a set of custom 288 deg Toda cams that have the base circle and the ramp angle modified?

That many changes may as well sell the engine complete and put a honda in with the intake on the correct side of the engine bay.

Yep sailaholic that would be the best course of action, however I will not be selling this car or parting anything out so maybe another project in 2015 could be on the cards
