I get the impression here that some don't realise the MST is an entirely new vehicle built from scratch using restoration/replica panels and body mouldings. This is part of the reason it's so expensive. It's also why it's called an MST and not an Escort.
Interestingly there are other vehicles out there with the same availability of parts that you could do something similar such as a Mini or MGB.
In fact there's another manufacturer in the UK that does an 'all new' build MGB with an EV drivetrain. That's more to my liking!
