New wing design now requires the front downforce to be reconsidered, so plans for that are in the pipeline. It will never end...

Fixed the BRG hard top to the SP.
It had two nuts missing from the rear attachments which are horrible Mazda items. A bit smaller than 8m and about half the thickness with an 8m thread. Can't buy them locally. I ended up grinding down a couple of standard 8m nuts which seem to have worked OK. Now just to change the colour to something more appropriate.

Pushed it out of the way to work on sparkley.

Also worked recently on electric waterpump reverse flow 'madjak' plumbing, wiring adaptronic and installing a fairly sick diff, not the fully sick version 4.7:1 but a considered and custom built 4.44:1 contraption.
Plumbed oil cooler, had maxim works headers modified with a better placed 02 sensor and stainless exhaust modified to remove rear tip and be replaced with straight cut piping.
Recieved a butterfly brace from mx5 mania to install and currently fixing rust in drivers footwell by drilling out a freakload of spotwelds and replacing floorpan panel.
Lots to go...

Changed out the rear oem bumpstops on the SE Bilsteins for FCM 46mm bumpstops. No idea as yet if made any difference, only took it round the block to make sure nothing fell off. Have fronts to do too, but will have to wait 'till after Christmas. Some good reports on this mod on the stock msm suspension over on the US forums - especially partnered with a Racing Beat 1.125" tubular sway bar (may look into that next year).

Looks nice theo :D
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Added an engine brace and fitted up modified exhaust.
Once xmas celebrations are over i will be replacing driver's side floor pan panel and installing butterfly brace.
Those frame rails look to need a little persuasion with a BFH to get the frame rail braces to fit.
Should be fun.
Looking forward to a big chrissy feast today and the reactions of my family opening their gifts. Especially sister as i brought a very sentimental gift to thank her for the support she has given over the years.

Fitted extractors now that they've been welded up.

still need to make up a gearbox brace for them, and put on a new gasket so they dont leak like sieves.

ALso went to fit my wideband, only the find that none of my crimp connectors fit the tiny thin wires for the gauge, so yeah, that was a wasted day.

Broke out a satin black rattle can and gave my very tired looking wipers a refresh.

Now the failing clear coat on my bonnet looks even worse. :?

Fitted and wired in the headrest speakers on the NA. By themselves they're underwhelming, but they provide some very nice "fill-in" sound with the main speakers. I'm yet to try them on a run with the top down. Pleased with the results.

Replaced drivers side window regulator. What a painful job.

For anyone else planning on doing the same the YouTube videos are great except they dont tell you how to get the regulator and motor out in one piece and the studs on the motor prevent it getting past the front window guide. Eventually worked out that if you release the front guide then you can slip the operating cables under the bottom of the guide and get it out that way.
Also need to make sure that you get the cables onto the operating capstan the right way. The first time I did this the upswitch had the window going down and vice versa.

Passenger window should be a lot easier if its ever needed, there is no substitute for experience.
