I accidentally found something this morning when I chopped my old exhaust tip off and welded on a replacement..
The old heavy POS weighs over 1 kg:

Replaced it with this piece weighing in at nothing:

Anyone found any unusual ways to reduce weight?

Removed the towbar assembly a year back when installing a new muffler. I reckon it weighed a hefty 6-8 kg. Heaps faster now!

Hit up a sauna, and then slam down 5-10 coffees.
In all seriousness though, I lost a few kg's when I replaced my seats with sprint jrs.

go for sparco revs and save a few more

seriously though, any more than a 34 waist and you'd need reconstructive surgery around the hips.
On topic, radio that came with the car -> cheapo basic amp for ipod
also, all those screws, nuts and bolts that never made it back into place once I'd taken something apart and reassembled it... differently

All the crap I carry around in the boot. Tool kit, foot pump, blankets, cleaning gear, Car Bra, Car Cover.
Probably adds up to as much as a passenger.

Rust. The gradual reduction in weight allows you to get used to it as it happens - as opposed to cutting out huge amounts of metal and finding a drastic change in handling.
Doesn't require effort on your part too!

Rust actually increases the molecular weight, relative to pure iron. The iron is still there, there's just oxygen bound to it.
That is assuming the rust doesn't fall off, or, if it does fall off, gets stuck somewhere.

On that basis, Fiats would have been the quickest cars on the planet.
