How do I get NA lights to sit flush?

Hi everyone. I very recently picked up an NA8 in good shape, but one thing I'd like to sort (if possible) is the pop-up lights not sitting quite flush with the bonnet. I seem to recall a great thread on here where some members were advising someone on what to do about the same issue on another NA. Of course now that i want to read it, I can't find it!
If anyone can point me to that thread, or advise how to get that nice flush look, I'd really appreciate it. NOT sure if a panelbeater is required. Hope not!
Cheers

I'm not aware of the thread but have done this on a few mx5s in the past.
Pop the head lights. You will see two Philips heads screws either side of the black plastic that surrounds the headlights. Loosen, adjust, tighten and you're done.
Sometimes you may need to persuade the screw by tapping it with a hammer first ;)

As above, plus you may need to just grab the edge of the metal cover and use some gentle persuasion to get the lid to sit flush ...

It's almost arcane knowledge now, esp. if the number of NAs with their lights chronically out of line with their bonnets is any indication

Thanks fellas. This advice worked a treat. Moreso the gentle metal manipulation than the screwdriver adjustment.
