OK, I don't have much mechanical knowledge. So I'm going to risk bringing great shame onto my family by posing this question right into the lion's den...

Are you guys telling me The Energy Polariser doesn't work either? I was sure you had to add crystals and a magnet to align the molecules of the car to make it more awesome…..

Forget this shite, all the cool kidz know that it's all about "Sticker-watts", definitely the best "bang for buck" hard-parkin' mod out there!

Ha! Thanks for your emphatic responses everyone. I might give the wonder Chip a miss! Sounds like they are right up there with Big Foot and The Lochness Monster.

Just for fun, I asked them a question. Their reply was:
"Hi chip connects to ECU AIR sensor under the hood, usually work fine 30 hp are max all depends on engine condition and already installed mods ! thx"
The highlighted parts are mine. It obviously contains all the usual bullshitter's get-out clauses.
I'd hoped they'd put a copy of the question and the reply on eBay but, not surprisingly, the listing page still says, wrongly, that no questions have been asked.
The next question will be whether adding 10 of these will give an extra 300bhp.
Or maybe we could all just report the listing, thus saving all potential suckers some money?

But what would you report it for?
The claim of "up to" 30hp isn't actually a lie, by fooling the ECU into thinking the incoming air is colder, or warmer, the AFRs can be slightly adjusted to be richer or leaner.
If they were not ideal from the start it could make a couple of HP (ie: mx5's are rich from factory, so running slightly leaner may make a tiny bit more power)
The claims there aren't that different to the MX5 Mania website where it used to say their intake could gain up to 15kw or something.
