Modifying the ND, what works and what is just added weight.

So has anyone spent some coin in modifying their ND, I'm waiting for the GT 2.0 to be released and as I'm a hopeless modifier I'm looking for useful mods to do.

Disclaimer: Whilst I'm happy to do cat back exhaust for the noise factor I have no intention of doing anything to the motor except for maybe a ECU/tune once the local tuners have a good handle on it, I'm more interested in handling mods.

It seems the yanks have a heap of go fast bits and pieces, the tricky thing is picking the bits that are actually useful and not just shiny things that add weight and no real performance gains.

REV 9 seems to have the most parts on offer ATM.

This car will need to be a comfortable cruiser so I will not be able to get a lot of added lightness by removing things, I will not be able to do what I usually do by removing weight to add weight.

Any useful information is most welcome.

Cheers.

MCA already have coilovers available for the ND and say that stock damping is really poor.

Danny from automotive plus got the first set fitted to his car and seems very happy with them.

If you want a daily driver the best bang for buck is to leave the car exactly as is (says the bloke with nearly every mod on his car). Spend what you save on mods on petrol.

LOL, I don't think I have ever owned a car or bike and not modified it some way or the other.

Everything can be better than standard if you choose the correct parts, they make things to suit the general populous, soft rides, soft tunes, over muffled.

I follow the philosophy of "Modified Good, Standard Bad", so far over my 35 years of car ownership it has not let me down.

Well except for my old 500hp Skyline, that thing, whilst being a weapon, spent more time being fixed than it did being used.

As for saving a little bit of money, phhfffttt, I'm hear for the fun.

Start at the first post and read all the way through.
The Goodwin cars are the most developed so far over in the US.

There are also some less advanced developments with cars at Flyin Miata & 949 Racing who both have similar threads.

It's meant to be a comfy cruiser from factory, I would just leave it alone.

Actually, it's meant to be anything but that.

By "comfortable cruiser" I meant I will not be throwing the A/C, P/S, carpet other random stuff in the bin for added lightness.
