Wrist watch is a Rolex Submariner. Tested the RF and went for a Lotus. In saying that this package is a very good deal. Targa is much better than the drop top. The suspension/brake/chassis/seat upgrade is A1.

I am with Kev - the strut bar really does look exciting. The reality is that all these things including Lotus are for owners who can afford to lose a lot of money. For the money a 2l drop top should be a fun car . The sort of car I might buy could offer a Casio G Shock and it will perform better than a Rolex ..... I wish "they" could come up with a better description than "icon".

Not sure how you know what type of watch it is (it wasn't specified as far as I could see) but a quick go ogle shows the watch you describe is $9k+. I understand these watches mean something to a lot of people, but I am not one of those; I am happy with my $100 job and would rather spend the $9k on red wine.
If I was buying the RF LE (and I'm not, so it is a moot point, though I did sit in an ND after losing my blue NA middle of last year and intended to take the ND for a test drive, but it felt claustrophobic so I bought another NA), my preference would be for Mazda to drop the price to sub-$50k and they can keep the watch.

That was sarcasm Kev? I certainly read it that way.

... with you there

I virtually never wear a watch, apart from occasionally when getting "dressed up" I'll wear a gold Longines my Dad gave me before he passed away.
Wine rack is always kept well stocked though

In the spirit of 'add lightness', make the watch optional, as all but redundant for many.

RF Limited would be over $60K on road. This is why we never see people in their 20s or early 30s driving the new MX5s.

So where is the soft top LE???
The RF is slow and heavy so these performance parts are a waste of time on it.
And the price!!!
Approx 8K more driveway than a ND GT RF assuming this is the manual price. Mazda Australia has gotta be kidding themselves don't they. This is the biggest premium ever for a LE model.
Not to mention with that price you are in 370Z, Mustang and other performance car territory.
Considering the base ND is cheaper than the base NC this is a blatant rip off.
You can get most of these parts in an Abarth 124 for a lot less $$$.

I just had a quick look at that watch and what a bit of junk it is

and as for Rolexes over the years ive had about 10 in total all genuine too

easy to pick the fakes they are spelt "OLEX" not "ROLEX"

so to give you a bit an idea on a rolex -just the genuine empty box sells for any up to $500 or more.
now the big question -are they any good. probably no better keeping time than a $100 quartz watch is at keeping time mainly because the majority of the Rolexes are mechanical movement and even when you wear one-most think its a fake.
unlike a Porsche or even a mx5

chances are if your lucky enough to drive either - its possible genuine. not once have I ever been asked if my mx5 is genuine but I had had losers show me their rolex they got for $100
I no longer deal in Rolexes but when I did-there was always a very quick $$$ to be made
