Moving house. To the inner City. no room for an Unregistered car.

Its unlikely I'll finish Patchy within the next 4 weeks. She needs to be blue slipped. But with the 1,.8 I'll imagine it will be a bit of a process. plsu some rust being cut out.

The first point of call is self storage. But I want to be able to get to her & work on her and eventually get her back on the road where I ca park her were were moving to.

Ive had no experience with this. Anywords of wisdom hugely welcome. Also storage around Leichard in Sydney.suggestions all welcome.

Cant vouch for Sydney, where it seems that you'd need a $1,000,000 deposit to rent a single cubicle in a public toilet.

But, from mates who've had similar issues, the most cost effective seems to be to post on facebook groups and/or gumtree and look for someone who has a house with a garage, but no car.

Otherwise, some people with larger rural blocks will happily rent out some spare garage space for some extra cash.

Forget it in Sydney due to $$$.
Can you store it with a relative?

Gumtree link mate..... meantime, I’ll ask around with a few friends / rellos around the St George area for the slim chance of better solution for you STM....

Stan, you going into a high-rise? If so, you may be able to do a letterbox drop seeking someone's spare space. In fact, you could do it anyway  .

You would still be paying, these are sought-after as you can well appreciate.

That's a great suggestion. Lots of people who live close to the city in apartments don't have cars yet have a space for a vehicle, often a lock up. Very common for them to rent them out. My mate has a spot but no car and he constantly get's people asking if they can rent the spot. He uses it for storage though.

if you could get one you'd have easy access to work on it anytime you want.

going into a town house in the heart of Leichart. Only street parking.

Decided to see if i can get a week off work. if that doesn't work I will consider a garage a fair distance away for like $40 a week short term like in that gum-tree add Daffy posted.

I've just been through this process with great difficulty for a long time. The difficulty though was only because my car is mahoosive. Remove that constraint and Gumtree should provide results aplenty. Ask friends that live in unit blocks, there's always notes on the board or similar. Spacer.com.au will give plenty of results.

I have given up finding a place big enough and resorted to commercial storage - National Storage are a LOT cheaper than the others and seem excellent in terms of dealings and offerings.
