It sure was warm!

As was said earlier, I had overheating issues all day, and couldn't really run the main circuit, although the one lap I did get in was only in the 1:15's and that was short shifting and not giving it full throttle on the straights to keep the boost and temps down a bit.

Did a 42 sec on the short circuit, but I haven't seen the hillclimb times as yet.
I love that short circuit!
Corner 1 is great for drifting practice.

It was a busy day with lots of interesting cars including the Bullit and a few Porsches, and even a 1950's vintage MG sedan.

Thanks Mike, Jean, Rod and all the crew for working so hard in the heat to make it such a good day.

great day and well organised yet again.

was my first time on the short circuit and hill climb and have to say i like the hill climb most.. soooo glad i got an LSD installed before this one

really made the tight 1st gear corners on the hill climb fun

was more a rally event at some points.

car ran with next to no troubles... my wierd missing problem came back after the first timed run of the hill climb but i ran back to the shed and pulled out the cam angle sensor, cleaned it and put it back on and it stopped missing for the rest of the hill climb however i noticed the plug wasnt very tight fitting...

after the first run out on the long course it came back again so this time i put a cable tie around the plug to keep it firmly together and bye bye missing problem

but... hello diff leak :shock:

haha.. noticed my diff was leaking a drop or two (nothing major) so thought i'd to it up and see how much it took so i could get an idea of how much its leaking and also to make sure i wasnt running a dry diff.. i put in about 200mils and i think about 100 mills came out and all over me and the floor :lol:

so it was... is only a minor leak.. will get it sorted out asap..

all that aside had a blast and managed a 1.15.93?? or something along those lines cant remember short coarse or hill climb times.. any one know where i might get a copy of times or when where they will be posted on the net?

I was some 2 seconds slower, (I think) on the Hill Climb. If anyone has the results from the 2006 Tripple treat, could you please post my time for me!!!

Just over a second slower on the long track and got no idea on the short, but probably over one second slower, if anyone has the 2006 result, would appreciate the time!

It was hot and humid, bl**dy terrible, but heaps of fun.

Bazzas burbling rumbler, what an awesome peice of kit!!!!!!

Was great to take an NC scalp, or 2.

Hey Iâ€™m not biting, how far were you behind on the hill climb and long circuit this time? :roll:

2006 Results â€“ Running in Class 5 with sticky tyres:

Short Circuit: 44.74 (NC on road rubber 44.26)
Hill Climb: 56.89 (NC on road rubber 57.04)
Long Circuit: 1:16.66 (NC on road rubber 1:15.98)

Another well run day and thanks to all those who make it happen each time.

A little too hot and interesting driving with one eye on the track and one on the temp guage but still plenty of fun as usual.

If anyone has a copy of last years results that would be great for a comparison.

Great to catch up with everyone.
