hey guys as title states im offering my services as a pit crew member for weekends and every so often with notice could manage a weekday using a work flex day. for extended events i could use some leave.

i'm a fitter and turner by trade so know how to throw a spanner and have some minor experience with cars.. mostly tinkering with my mx5, my dads old 1960s merc and also helping a close mate with an old ford fairmont with a clevland on gas.
thats the main reason i want to get out there and lend a hand, to build up some more knowledge in the field and well.... if i cant race the cars this maybe as close as i can get :P

all i ask in return is for you to put up with my questions about how things work and maybe a lift if its not out of your way :)

..... im heading to QLD in August to race at Jamboree (23-27th)...... i might have a space if it interests you.

Its only drag racing though.

what car/cars you running?

mighten be able to make that one.. will have to save up some flexi's but having to use one for the mania track day im not sure ill have 3 up :?

running the mx5. Will be its first major outting since new engine set up. Running methanol.

Wish I had seen this...

Being essentially carless now I wouldn't have minded flying to Sydney and driving up from there...

it was a wasted trip Sean. Jamboree was cancelled on the sunday and then we hit a kangaroo on the way home which took out the radiator in the delica and left us stranded..... waste of a weekend.

ouch sorry to hear mate..
i couldnt get the time off work to come.. kinda glad i didnt now i've heard that it was canned.. sorry to hear about it all.. must of been a real heart breaker
