Can anyone tell me where i can find the race calender for all MX5 races. I want to start spectating before I start racing, I notice the only calendar here is for club track days but I am looking for motor sport calendar.
Much appreciated.

No
I'm getting a wheel alignment tomorrow, wiring some drain plugs tomorrow night, braided brake lines fitted Thursday and then going away for the long weekend Friday to Monday. Then I've got to pick up the loan trailer on Tuesday night and load the car becuase I have a combined birthday/ State of Origin party at my place on Wednesday night before leaving at 5am Thursday. Some where in between I've got to sort out a camera mount, oh, and work

Re New MX5 Class
Can you tell me what the new MX5 class might be, as I am starting to build a new MX5 in the next few weeks and have to work in with a class.

If you are building a car it would be best to stick with the CAMS regs...so go for either 2F or 2B...
The new MX5 racing series will cater for any MX5...there is more news to come very soon.
Got my green car back from Hume Smash yesterday after the Bathurst repairs so I just have to screw it back together and give it w wheel alignment and I am ready for FOSC...

I really hope it is decided to build these cars to CAMS spec. Because we already have very strong numbers on 2B & 2F. I certainly won't be making the trip down south to race against hybrids. They already sneek into Prod Sports as it is. For instance, I raced an Exige S in the Oran Park 1hr last year that was down as 2F and sure as hell wasn't running the restrictor. I think we kill a good thing if the states start going in different directions.

I agree completely! There are already too many classes in the Australian motor racing scene.
If there's one good thing about CAMS, it's that at least there are regulations in place to give competitors some security. One of the reasons I decided to join the 2F category was that I knew that I was going to be able to build a car that would be similar to other competitors and that if I ever needed to sell the car it would be suitable for a nationally recognised category. Whilst I'm all for a variety of cars and getting as many competitors on the track as possible, there needs to be some consitency in these regulations so that people can build, buy and sell cars with some confidence that they will have a class to race in.
You only have to look at the different categories that are run under the AASA banner to see what can happen. There is no consistency between the categories that run in each state and to make it worse none of the state categories are run in their national AMRC series.
Between 2F, 2B and 2A you can already bulid anything from a slightly modified, road registered race car to a full on sports sedan, why would you need another class?

To not do this, would be a critical error. I personally would not support a local MX5 series that doesn't follow cams 2B and 2F specs.
