Im interested in a brown davis bar but cant see how they are mounted. Are they bolt in? do they have a harness cross bar? any more detailed pics of the bar and mounting would be great.
Cheers.

Are they bolted in? Yes
Do they have a harness cross bar? Yes
The bar is bolted through the seatbelt mount, through the rear floor panel and through the side panel down the side of the seatbelt mount.
Sorry about the quality of pics just took them and its a bit(SIC) dark in the shed.

If you don't have the bar already, wouldn't you be better off getting one manufactured locally??

There is no separate harness bar, but the plate across the rear deck works well for putting eye bolts in to.
As said, I'm sure you're better off getting something made locally - the shipping cost would be a killer.

I reckon there would be plenty of 2nd hand import bars available in unn-zed. Is there a local Brown Davis distributor? You could ask him to give you a quote for the part.

Most of the roll bar installers are quoting $2000-$2500 for a roll bar which i think is robbery!
I know a welder so am going to fab one up my self to motorsport assoc spec and have him weld it.
most of the roll bars that come in on imported cars are not compliant for race use.
now just have to sort out a race seat too.
