You guys mean Aston Martin right? :P

Was a good day indeed. Hurray to me for taking out the wooden spoon in class 4! :P
Although I think Dan who had the NB8B and was running in my grid was supposed to be class 4 but wasn't registered as such

I reckon I could've gotten down to 1:20:xx had I discovered how to do turn 2 correctly earlier on in the day, but practice makes perfect. I'm still fairly happy with my times considering it's only been my second ever track day.

Nice to meet a few new people and see some of the \"same old's\" :P

Now to wait for pictures of my massive off to surface on the net...

Yeah, but those ones weren't nearly as spectacular as the first one. Ahh well. This way, the off will always be way way way bigger than it really was :P

Your first one was pretty solid though. You must've been pushing pretty hard to off at that spot though.

Edit: Speaking of offs, here's the photo of my car after the laps where I had my first two offs. Luckily I had the windows closed when this happened...

Well Team Carco had a great Day.
We had a Test driver in for the second time Ashley S and after a few changes from last time He got the fastest time of the day :)
I took both Turbo Girl and Turbo Boy out for one sesion and got the 3Rd fastest and I think 4Th /5Th fastest of the day.
Had a big moment coming on to the back Straight where i ran out of ROAD
but the Rally Driver in me kicked in and i held it flat along the dirt, only lossing 2 car lengths to Val in the 7 :)
My Bro had a good day in our home built Clubman and was 4Th or 5TH on the day but battled with set up all day .
Turbo Boy hd a sliping Clutch ( AGAIN) but I hope this will be solved before Bathurst

Thank to All the officials that make these day posiable

Congratulations to Mark (Hellmun) who I believe broke my lap record on Sunday. 8)
Well done. Looks like Rod's parts are working a treat.
Also to Irwin83r as he also drop under the old mark.
Looks like the next time I come down it will be an interesting tussle. :D

I didn't see you go off at all, let alone get you on camera. When we first got there, I did hear a number of spins (tyres squealing etc) but wasn't in a position where I could see the track and get photos.

That was a fun day, big thanks to all the organisers, flag marshalls and everyone else who helps run it.

I managed to only go off the track when I ran out of brake...which was surprisingly often with the HP+ now....I think that's my first ever trackday I havn't ended up off the track sideways or backwards.

I think you are going to do high 1:11's or atleast low 1:12's very fast Phil. Andrew's car was all over the place with him still trying to sort the monoflex he got and I was running 450C+ on my front brakes which was enough to turn the green marker white on my DS4000 rotors....we still managed to both beat the old record. The hawks being a 500C pad were fading quite badly(I'd guess I had %30 of normal brake somtimes  ).

I never got a full lap at %100 so it is going to be very fun next trackday. I already have 2 new sets of Ferodo DS3000's to try out and I will probaly have 4 new RE55S's as well. I also learnt you can have too much camber for semi-slicks. My inside edges are getting rather hot now. So I'll be going backwards to about 2-2.2 degree's camber all round next day. I'm really starting to like my car... if it wasn't for the brakes (which I hope is going to be an easy fix) it's becoming really consistent and controllable.

Btw, that exhaust and ECU off Rod netted me about 0.5s the next trackday...the drive you took me for shaved 2.0s off my wakefield laptimes Phil

wow really?
well... with no evidence... i didnt have any offs... no.. none at all... only that crazy marcusus fellow.. yes...

charlie brown have you been on the new surface yet? it is quiet an improvement. i hear some people saying its such an improvement its worth 1 or 2 seconds! (i hope not.. other wise i was doing really really badly :P )
are you going to make the next track day you think CB?? mark, matt and me are getting quiet a head start on points..

Love the resurfacing, no more pogoing under brakes on the back staright, unfortunately only did 6 laps, enough to bag a 13.99, when the throttle cable parted company and \"scooter\" was flatbeded back to Redfern

A lot poorer now but the track is supreme, there's at least another second in it.

Hope to get a few more laps in next time :D

NB8A or B? (255mm or 270mm rotors) Fade might be the fluid moreso than the pads. Time for some "real" track pads like hawk blues. As a comparison, my car runs 550deg front rotor temps on average..... but thats with a 295x26mm rotor with a 4 pot caliper running Hawk DTC60s. 450c was where the old NA car ran on the 255mm rotor with Hawk blues. The DS3000s won't bit as well as the blues, but are a race pad so watch them on the road. 8)

Yet to try the new surface. Depending on when I get back from Brisbane on Sunday night I might try and get down on Monday with the Mania boys but that's untimed so unless someone can operate my stopwatch I won't have an idea how much time can be parred off.

As for the point score, I don't think you boys have much to worry about as I've missed the last two events  and there’s no way that I can make up that number of points in the couple of meeting left before July, unless everyone else doesn’t front.

This year, with the change to the roll bar rule, I’m entered in the State Super Sprint series so that might reduce further, my involvement with the Club meetings if they clash or are a week apart.

Super Sprint dates are:
30 March Oran Park
27 April Wakefield
18 May Eastern Creek
1 June Oran Park
20 July Wakefield
10 August Eastern Creek
16 August Oran Park GP
14 September Oran Park South
18 October Oran Park South (Day/night)

A pretty heavy schedule, another one which I won’t make all the rounds but will have fun trying. :D
