I agree, but by the same token, it's not like what we are doing is anything new. We have always been running 2B or 2F Production Sports Cars. It is probably time we started to enforce a few more thing nationally. Why should we be any different in Improved Production or any other class for that matter? As always, don't win and there won't be a problem.

I sent my EOI off a month ago to Brian but he was in Greece at the time so I’ve just e-mailed him again hoping he’s back, asking for more details.
No problems in classifying my car as I can only run in regularity. There it doesn’t matter how fast you go or the diff ration as you just need to be consistent.
That’s the trouble as I found out at the last Wakefield day. Turned in four laps within a tenth or two of a second of the nominated time and then threw one 0.5 seconds and another 0.75 seconds removed and the hole thing goes down the drain.

Now confirmed, the entry fee will be $220. We are working on the details and it will depend on numbers, but it looks like everyone should get an aweful lot of laps in over the weekend.

OK guys and gals,
I had a meeting with Barry Nixon-Smith and Bill Campbell on the weekend and they have confirmed our proposal. We want to invite about 4 other categories to make up the numbers but this will depend on how many we get. That's why we now need your virtual entry so these final decisions can be made.
Regularity will get at least 4, 4 lap events per day, that is, for each competitor. You can run your race car in regularity with another driver if you wish.
Race laps will be more than we are used too but we still need about 2 hours between events to fix things and cool down. That means we will probably get 4 races per day for both days.
Entry fee will be $240 which will include dinner for 1 on Saturday night. Additional dinner tickets can be bought with your entry.
I sent you a list of all the trophies last week so please refer to that if you can't remember.
We have had about 40 people register their interest so now please give me your virtual entry. We have allocated 2 weeks to get these in after which decisions will be made about support categories so please don't delay.
People with access to other email lists please feel free to pass this on.
Call or email me if you need any other details 0417 633318.
Cheers

If you are planning on running regularity at the event, we need to know now. At the moment, we only know of 8 cars doing regularity. This event will not be able to go ahead without a lot more entries than that.

Met the new owner of Cal's BRG, NA on Saturday night. he wishes to remain annonamous, Hates forums, so you won't see him on here. He owns a stock standard white NA6 short crank as well. Also owns about 20 Ducatti's. And it can't be all that bad as his name ie Graeme as well.

Have met him a few times Cal, He is a good friend of another friend of mine who collects Ducatti's. We have never talked about MX5's before so we both didn't realise the connection .
At a bbq last saturday night and he drove his old NA6 there, so the conversation about MX5's started and he mentioned he had another one as well ( your old car ).

We have now worked out the number of laps for races at Morgan Park for the Nationals.
Friday: All day practice
Saturday qualifying then 4 races of 8, 8, 10 and 12 laps.
Sunday: 4 races 10, 10, 10, and an 8 lap handicap (not counted toward the championship.
It is possible this could re arranged due to scheduling purposes but will not effect the number of laps.
We are going to be worn out after this weekend...
Thanks Brian.
