Long story but, I just bought another NA8 road car so I'm essentially back to square one

I'll be back on track in a couple of months.

Thanks people...I am home and doin fine...very sore and sorry but could have been a lot worse...that was a huge hit.

Car is actually not as bad as it looks I think...it went under the back of Brians car the front rails look OK, radiator is squashed up against the engine...will see what it looks like when it's pulled apart...hopefully will be Ok for the nationals...but will have a NA front...
NC Roadie, NC Racey, ND Racey….and a 30AE

Great to hear that you are ok, a Huge off!!

And the sensational thing is, you now have a massive bragging right, [size=200]MASSIVE[/si

I think we will need a few more Adjectives & Superlatives before this one is done with!!!

Peter Lacey and I were right behind Brian and Lou when the accident happened. That is the scariest thing I have ever seen on a race track. Thank god for the pronounced crown on conrod, as both cars made there way to the outsides of the circuit and Pete and I snuck through the middle while they were still spinning. I couldn't see much for the smoke but it looked like Lou's car was going to stay against the right hand wall, but Brian's car looked like it could come back across the track. I nailed the throttle again to get past before it did. Had either of us hit those cars side on I don't like to think of what could have happpened. I'm over the moon that both drivers are ok and if I never see anything like that on a circuit as long as I live, I'll be a happy man.

We are just thankful that Lou, Brian and all the guys who had incidents, are all safe and well. We can fix the cars, but people are a bit harder to weld up :)

Well, the wife and I were hooning around Western NSW over the long weekend, and so we took the liberty of dropping into the Ozzie Temple Of Speed on Sunday to check out the Festival of Sports Cars at Mount Panorama. Arrived just after "The Lou Incident", Chris brought us up to speed. Glad to here you're OK Lou!!

What a fantastic event! I was mainly inspired to drop in as a show of solidarity for the small Japanese Mazda Hairdressers in attendance :D

However i was also hoping to see a car i have been wanting to witness for years - a genuine D-Type Jag. What a treat! Watched it lap the track at full noise and had a chat to the owners as well.

I would love to see this event become the Australian answer to Goodwood's Festival of Speed that it could be. But for now it's a wonderful grassroots event for all enthusiasts of both cars and racing.

Oh, and saw NC's overtaking NB's on through the stands of course :D

Apologies to those of you who are here whom i haven't met you... i don't know all the MX5 Circulebrities yet. In time!
However i did try to photograph all the MX5's i saw. *shrugs* it's an obsession that extends to the camera as well.

My word this car is loud. It has great looking headers. That's all i know.

The attached pic caused a few laughs at FOSC.
Both MX5's have the same registration number, 1 Vic, 1 NSW.
Both owned by old farts, born 1 day apart.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Sadly MX5 less for a while.

That's hilarious. Is it a deliberate act?

Thanks for posting the photos guys, there are some really good ones there.

Good shot!

That was my 1 lap of glory, I managed to overtake both Chris and the RX7 off the line only to retrie the next lap with front end dramas.
