Not sure about a separate mount, but if you go to BigW they have Cams approved fire extinguishers with the steel bracket with two steel straps. The box has the cams logo and everything.
Retail about $30 - just make sure you get the one with the latest expiry/build date.
Then it is an easy mount in front of the passenger seat on the transverse rail.

Bill Campbell or James Sanderson of the Vic Club should be able to sell you one

I can get a photo, but it is on a dedicated track car, so I have just rivetted straight to the rail. I don't have the complication of carpet.
So thanks Andrew for the carpet solution.

Philip, I may have some spares left, I will check. i did have about 6 at some stage and am only using one now. If not, I am sure we can work something out with getting more made up. Email me

oh Ted, i have ordered from Vic club and it's on the way.
thanks for your offer anyway.
btw where can we get the material to make similar items locally? it would be good to know. i have tried bunnings and a few local hardware but they don't have strong stuff.
Thanks.

Philip, any metal yard or hardware supplies should have lengths of flat.

Justin - sorry for the confusion but I wasn't indicating that I was selling them. These were just those I had. I wouldn't dare sell any of mine, my welding sucks. I was just going to give it away.
However, if there are a few people looking, I am sure that are members in each state willing to help out with making them.
