Get Dunlop D01 or D02 or D03 Medium compound...they do the job nicely...we have used them on a few different cars in Targa New Zealand,Targa Tassie and East coast targa.

Be prepared to ruin the set in the Event

Try the Kumho Ecstas or Toyo R888 - cheaper than dunlops and much better than RT615s. Dunlops are the real deal though.

Given the relatively low amount of time you are at full noise in one hit during each event, I would go for whatever comes up to temp quickly.

Would love to get the Dunlops but the budget is getting stretched pretty thin already. Adds up quick, haven't even turned a wheel in anger yet...
No - the Kuhmo Ecstas are the V70A/V700. Same tyre, both numbers are on the sidewall. These are a (very) streetable semi slick whereas the KU31 is more a performance road tyre.

Personally I would go for the semi rather then the street tyre, else you will probably regret it later. I have the t1r and they are by no means a bit of both, the soft sidewalls puts them right down to a pretty good street tyre.

I just got a set of Bridgestone RE55S tyres.
Very happy with them so far. Got them mounted on 15x7 rims from MX5 Mania (Rob E actually).
$280 per tyre and seem great so far though have only used them on cold or wet days.

I can recommend the Kuhmo V70A, have usee them on 2 Duttons so far, both sets are now rooted, one down to canvas after the second day

I had the A032R's on my old car (Datsun 1600) and found them quite good. Not in the same league as the Brigestones though.

I've heard some good reports on the Toyo 888's.
They would certainly be worth a try.
