Repair floppy cup holder lid

Eventually I found the time to fix the floppy cupholder lid in my MK2.5
The lid is floppy when the spring feather mechanism fails. When the plastic hook holding the feather in place breaks, the feather slips off the central pin.
This is what it should look like:
In this pic you can see that the little plastic hook has snapped off:
The repair is easy and takes about 20 minutes.

I used a slightly different solution.
I drilled two little holes just below the pin, approx 5mm apart.
I fed a cable tie through the holes
Spring feather mounted, locked in place by the cable tie
