changed the fuel pump and injectors today

Postby mossy » Fri Aug 18, 2006 5:43 pm

I put in a walbro 190 high pressure unit today, what a biatch of a job, the walbro is longer than the standard unit so the bracket wouldn't go on the bottom which meant cutting the outlet pipe so i could bend the centre bracket downwards to get the bottom bracket on. I then bought a fuel line hose and attached it where i cut the pipe and ran it down to where the outlet pipe finished.

Replaced the injectors next with 460 rx7 units and that took about 20 mins. :D Motec is next on the agenda for next weekend so hopefully it all works!!

Pump was about $160 delivered, I had the camera ready for pics but I forgot to take them.

mossy. may I ask where you purchased the Walbro and what part number was it? I've been told F20000141.

Was it just the pump itself or did it come with an install kit?

cheers

Bugger - Shoulda posted first - It's easy to fit the pump without these mods

You just need a small spacer at the bottom where that mount attaches to the main section...
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.
