go with redline lightweight shockproof gear oil for the box and 75w/90 for the diff. This made a huge improvement in my gear change even though the oil had been changed (to Motul) only 5000km previously, so it is really worth the money.

SA Redline dealers are listed here Spitty:

You can also order from them online or from Mania and get it freighted to you. Seems like a lot of work to go to the trouble of changing twice in 5000km (I only did it to improve the shift).

i did an oil change yesterday, both old and new oils were/are Redline Lightweight Shockproof.

Its great stuff, i find the harder you push the car the easier it is to change gears for some reason.

Its just a bugger about the price of it, 1 US gallon = $140 aussie dollars :( (looks like i'll need to get a job soon just to pay for the oil)

No - just the gearbox! I have no experience of their engine oils, but I doubt anyone could justify the cost alone for something you change regularly, no matter how good it is. With engine oils I looked for the best reasonably priced full synthetic oil, and settled on Penrite Sin 5 - works well and not too exe. Mobil 1 is great but $$!
