sposedly yes, don't know about that particular brand though but the well known ones like Fitch Fuel Catalyst has been covered on TV a few times before. basically it changes 91 oct fuel into 96oct so there is better mileage to be gained.

one of the members here uses one with the 14\" timing bump so regular unleaded can be used without needing to switch to the premium stuff at the bowser.

I am under the impression that these are all a scam, and do absolutely nothing. In the small print it recommends a complete system flush and comrehensive service before installation, which will in a lot of cases (like camries that get treated like sh!t) cause an increase in economy up to the stated amount...

[/quote]The magnets are tiny, and pretty weak. There's no demonstrable effect of these things on hydrocarbon liquids such as gasoline (petrol) or diesel. A magnet cannot provide oxygen and neither can it change the amount of heat released from burning the fuel.
Liquids cannot \"retain\" any magnetic effect when they leave the magnet, even if affected when within it. Hence you cannot \"charge up\" a liquid in the way that a dust particle can be charged.
There is no truly independent lab analysis which could give evidence that combustion can be improved nor that you'll get better power output or lower emissions. This therefore will be the sort of improvement that could be expected by a device that ensured \"complete combustion\" of all the fuel. Most magnetic devices claim an 8-10% improvement. What are they burning above the ½% of unburned fuel?

Thats me . . . . but the Fitch style "catalyst" is a very different animal from the magnetic type gimicy thingy.

But it will increase your fitness, which will mean you can walk faster and longer.
Now that's a performance increase!

It also strengthens the leg muscles so you can floor the accelerator faster!

and if your a tubber, its a good wieght reduction too i guess

I've had one of those fitted for nearly 12 months now and it actually works, you won't notice it at first, but after a few weeks pull the plugs and look at them,then you'll see the difference, mine are way cleaner than before. Engine performance is way better too, the engine is very crisp and responsive.

Like most ppl i laughed too when i saw it on Ebay, but for 20 bucks, ahh what the hell so i bought it, fitted it and thought ripped off, after the first week but after 2 weeks i could actually notice a difference.

Economy wise i cant really comment as i redline most gear changes every day, sure is smooth as all the way to redline though and revs out faster than before.

Sorry Robbie, the changes you noticed are nothing to do with the $20 you no longer have. Well, it might placebo, then yes, it was $20 well spent...
