Throttle bodies

Wondering if anyone has heard of a throttle body upgrade from maybe an EF falcon or similar?
The stock 1.8 lt throttle is a bit of a bottle neck as is the VRIS butterflys. I've got the VRIS sorted but want to either bore the TB (so need a bigger butterfly) or fit an upsized body. Preferably with a variable TPS and BAC/IAC as we have.

If anyone has an old (read farked) TB that I can test bore I can find out how large the stock body will go.

btw this is for the Jet motor not the street

Cheers

You will have to make an adaptor plate or adjust the factory manifold to make them fit. I have a brand new one in the shed somewhere from an EF - it is definitely bigger - about 70mm and oval shaped! I was going to do the adaption before I got quads!!

Thanks Guys I knew someone must have an idea
Finally got around to taking some measurements and I think I could open the bore by 4 mm.
That should make it close to 60mm :)
So together with trimming the butterfly bar and replacing the huge screws with tiny umbrakos I should increase flow by at least 10%, probably close to 20% which should maintain a good air velocity.

It would be good if someone had an old body that they no longer require so I can have a play around and find the max diametre that I can bore too

Eddie, I'm in the process of match porting and extrudahoning (be careful of the inconsistant wall thickness of the NB8 manifold.... whoops no warranty). We are also fitting in our 4 NOx jets and cleaning up AVOs crap job of welding in extra injector mounts ...darn cowboys
When do we get to see the B6T

Cheers

CT, does the EF body have a variable TPS and BAC/IAC ?

Are you looking to sell it ? If so I might know a buyer :)
