NPower Exhaust need advice

Postby mxfive » Sun Jul 12, 2009 5:24 pm

Need advice. Thinking about an exhaust upgrade and after reading forum have decided upon the NPower system:

http://www.nahux.com/NPOWER/product.php?part_no=H-NA6CE

http://www.nahux.com/NPOWER/product.php?part_no=91005

http://www.nahux.com/NPOWER/product.php ... o=MO225-NA

Are these all the parts I would need?

Will these fit with the existing pipes and other existing fittings?

I like to do as much of the maintenance work on my cars as possible is this just a bolt on job? Any guides available?

NPower Exhaust need advice

Sure is.

Not sure if the midpipe is seperable from the cat or not. Either way, if i wanted a full exhaust setup, i would want a new midpipe made that is bigger then OEM.

the extractors and muffler are designed to work with a stock midpipe (i.e bolt up)

Hey Grant,

I'd have a word to Danny from MX5Plus( orx626 on here), they are the NPower dealer for Brissy.

You will need to have a new midpipe made up in 2.25in pipe and flanges welded to the midpipe and cat.

Danny can help with these, just tell him you want Terry's system!!!

With the extractors, I personally would use a mild steel extractors and have them thermocoated to increase efficiency.

Stainless extractors have a tendency to crack after a while due to heat retension.

BTW, was good to meet you yesterday!!

Suppose you could always have a set of these made,

These extractors were made, fitted and then taken to the track in the same condition it finished after a 1 hour race,
The improvement. ...................................................
......
.........3.6seconds

Didn't think extractors could make that sort of difference, kind of makes a mockery of the experts saying extractors don't make much diff to a 1.6 motor!!!!!!!!

You must have had an 'extremely' restrictive system before, or the track conditions had changed since the last run, to be able to gain 3.6 seconds by this mod alone...
