Does anyone have experience with Worley aluminium radiators? Advertised on Ebay for $260, comes with shrouded fans and at 52mm is thicker than Cooling Pro (40). Postage is free so works out cheaper.

As you go thicker with radiator cores on MX5s you get to a point where the reduction in airflow caused by the extra thickness outweighs the benefits of the larger volume. It seems that point is around 40-42mm. A 52mm radiator will probably cool worse than an OEM 28mm one.

Not familiar with Worley, but also occasionally some of the 52mm rads don't bolt up as they can be a fairly snug fit. But usually nothing that can't be overcome with tools & materials.

Thanks for the advice. I've only had experience with old Falcons and it was a case of jam the biggest that you could find. Anyway, had a good look at the space up front and I reckon at 52mm, it won't fit.

We ran a 52mm eBay rad on the Blue Rocket for some time after the PWR was holed, before we switched to a Civic rad. It worked fine, but like any rad, you need to seal the engine bay really well and duct it properly. Ducting and sealing is far more important than core size.
IIRC the old PWR core we holed was also around 52mm.
