Anyone used an OS Giken cutch before?

Hey everyone,
I'm looking at replacing my clutch soon as i'm getting sick of the clutch slipping when boost kicks in..
I currently have an Exedy HD clutch.
Car (NA6) at the moment makes just under 200hp - 420nm at the wheels @9psi
Recently changed the valve springs to Kelford Cams valve springs as one of the originals was stuffed or floating I don't know lol.
Looking at getting another tune and increasing the boost a little. But need to change the clutch first.
Has anyone used an OS Giken clutch before?
I'm contemplating getting an OS Giken GT single-plate clutch and just wondering if anyone has used one before? experience? Thoughts?
Cost is $1499 which seems reasonable.
Thanks

Lokiel has one, I'm sure he'll chime in. I know his is slipping on him. He has more power and torque than you're putting out but it shouldn't be slipping.

I have one and in hindsight wouldn't buy it again.
Mine feels like it's slipping and is VERY chatty when reversing or starting to move in first.
Given that no-one on MT.net recommends it, I'd use one they do, FM2 or 949: See

Thanks for the input. That's what I was afraid of, don't want a chatty one.
FM2 sounds pretty good from the link you sent me.
Not that fussed on how heavy one is as I use to drive an xr6t with a twin clutch and that was heavy as lol.
A lot cheaper too.
Thanks Lokiel and ManiacLachy , I'll try the FM2 one. They sell them with flywheels too which is good.
Cheers

The way we do it costs $500, has a literally identical pedal to stock. Literally. And is good for 250 ftlb, around 300whp on most peoples setups. If it interests you send me an email.

I have Dann's clutch, for anything short of built motor with big turbo power it's great.

Hey Dann, I tried looking up clutches on your website but couldn't find any listed.
Do you have anything that will support more ftlb?
The setup now makes 420nm at the wheels which is around 310ftlb.
I think the torque is what's causing the slipping.. maybe.
Thanks, Michael

Id need to see a dyno sheet to be sure we are measuring it the same way, have you got one?

I re read your OP.
Your torque figure is exaggerated by gear ratio and lazy dyno setup.
Your exedy HD is a good choice however yours is worn out or glazed. Id suggest another, maybe 1.8L sized on a 1.8L flywheel.

Yeah, I uploaded them to my google drive. Not sure if it will work.
Maybe a 1.8l one will be better. The clutch was fairly new prior to going turbocharged.
These are scans of what they gave me when getting it tuned at 02 autosports in Nowra.

Thats actually only 170whp mate. The exedy hd should be the go.
It was probably slipped hard a few times early in its life, perhaps being launched or something. Its probably glazed. Replace it with a 1.8L flywheel and exedy hd to suit.
Thats my advice mate.

Yeah i know. The guys at 02 reckon that their dyno reads 15% less than what other dynos read :/ Probably bs lol.
So a 1.8 will probably be a better choice then. Will it be alright with torque figures too?
Haha I don't really like exedy as a company in general as I had to go to court with them when my 13bt clutch exploded..
No point having warranty on a clutch cause their engineer will say anything to get them out of any situation.
they even changed their website the day before court to say they do have warranty on them.
This is what happened to my last exedy clutch...

But that was a brass hd button clutch.

I've got a purple one. It is a bit chattery in reverse but I think that's normal.
