If you are loaded (and like wank factor) then buy the tein's ......if you are on a lower budget then def get the BC's over anything else.Bang for buck, you can't go wrong.

The base model teins aren’t even worth getting. Sure they have the name and all but for adjustability you can’t go past BC. Newish name less cost, compared to a name that has been around for years. For the full adjustable teins correct me if I’m wrong but last time i looked were about $4500 When BCs are $1650 for top of the line separate shock chamber etc

Okay, change of thought, Aus Dollar is strong so i thought i would look at the US ebay. I get a set of Tein Super Street to Australia for a little over $1300. Ignoring the price are the Tein SS Coilovers better than BC ones? Are the Tein too hard for everyday use?

Some people would say yes, some people would say no. You probably ought to go for a drive in a car with BC BR's or Tein SS/basic to get an idea of the potential ride quality.

Regarding cost, bear in mind that if goods value + freight cost exceeds $1000AUD, you have to pay customs and GST. IIRC that's 5% (customs) and 10% (GST), so another $195. At this point the BC's become better value at $1300 for the BR series.

This isn't correct. You pay duty/GST on the goods only portion of your imported product over $1,000 in value. None on transport costs.

With the Aussie dollar being virtually on parity with the USD you are now far better of getting a quality set of shocks from the US.

Have a look at shox.com ......KW Variant 1 - $1272, Eibach - $1344, Bilstein PSS9 - $1379. Add on transport cost of around $250 and you have top shelf shocks for around $1,600, only $200 more than the BC's.

I got som bc br's very happy with them as well for a daily it's a very good ride

Been looking at prices for a set of BC coilovers for an NA

seems that they are all at $1299 for a set of the BR series

Anyone found anything cheaper?
