Nah bro you really want 17s. They are the best for ride and handling.

Yeah, the 15" wheels are so much more complaint over bumps than the 16" wheels. This is good :)

In partially related news, when I collected the car there were wheel-weights (I think that's the correct word) on all the wheels. These all promptly fell off, in 50km of driving. I'm assuming that's not right and I should take it back?

Yeah take it back. Something must have been up with the batch of weights for them all to be missing.

Also, take your new found knowledge of 15s being better and spread the news :D

If you mean 15s are more compliant than 16s then you're 100% correct. Most would not complaint about the improved ride.

Yes, well spotted sir. The crappy Chinese tyres on the 16" wheels liked to get a bit jumpy mid-corner, which wasn't very inspiring.

Simon asked what the wheels are. They are Speedy GTR Sports 15"x6.5": http://megatyres.com.au/wheeldetails-37 ... ports.html

How are you finding the KU36's?

I haven't done much driving on them yet, and it can be hard to tell if the change in feel is the wheels or tyres. But they seem very good. Feel quite stable, buckets of grip. Tyre noise isn't noticeable different to my last tyres. Haven't heard any squeal - which I was expecting would be more common on the softer compound.
