K, i had my mechanic look over it last night, who was happy that all was reassembled correctly.
I know my wheels wont fall off now! :lol:

That torque figure would still be handy though :wink:

Long bolt is 100nm if I remember correctly.


And agree 100% with others, buy a torque wrench, even a cheap Repco one should do, I think mine was $50 and according to the spec sheet is accurate to within 5nm or something, which for most things is within the factory specs.


I found the Torque spec on teh Miata net garage, listed in one of the suspension how-to guides if I remember.

This link doesnt tell you the torque for the long upper control arm to body bolt. The long 30cm one.

Rod's & Hayne's manuals both state 87 - 101 Ft-lbs, or 118 - 137 Nm.

Oops, I must have been thinking 100ft/lbs instead of Newtons.

I use Loctite blue on all that stuff just to be safe! 8)
