strut brace fitment. Will the nut fit back on the bolt....?

Hi all.
Very simple quetion; I bought a strut brace and am anxious to know if there is enough thread on the stock upper strut bolts for the nut to be secured back in place after fitment of the brace?
The end plates/brackets of the brace is approx 4mm thick.

Any suggestions appreciated.

On my NA8 there were heaps of threads left. On my friends NA6 there were stuff all.
Shiney black one with added red bits. Member of the fart club. Now with extra doof and Sunlong. - deceased and gone to heaven

As per Garry's reply....my NA6 has stuff all thread left. Having said that my cusco bar has been fitted to two of my MX-5s (both NA) and I have never had a problem with it.

Same with the whiteline sway on the standard NB hats/studs.

You should be fine if your shocks are still stock.

How much thread is above the nuts currently?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Thanks fellas, that's a load off my mind.
It's also a Cusco brace Juffa (I think it's the OS series) so I'm counting on your experience.
Oki: just using my eyes, a guesstimate is about 6mm of actual thread

I bought one off eBay and had to reduce the thickness of the nuts by 50% and hacked off some of the thread as it bottomed out in the bar. Not happy Jan! :frown:

That's a bummer Veloce, were your upper strut bolts standard? (If they were then they have a conical/pointy top)
How thick were the end plates of the bar you bought?
