Need to get some grease to use on the caliper slider pins. Anyone got a decent brand they want to reccommend?

Oooh, I'd like an answer to that one too. I bought myself some Nulon L80 the other day for the same purpose. I was after the highest temperature capability that I could find on the shelf at Autobahn. Not tried it yet though. Is it any good from caliper slider pins?

Go to a brake shop Pete - ask for slide lubricant. Can't remember the brand, but it is specific to that purpose, not a general purpose high temp grease. comes in small tube not too exe.

Big dog is probably correct. The question of lubricants is however fairly easy to deal with. All the major oil companies have not only web sites but you can ring and talk to an adviser who will assist with the right product for a specific task. I have done this a number of times and always found this to be a useful exercise and these guys are very helpful.

I have PBR brand stuff, last forever track days etc.

One bottle last forever too you dont need much gets messy if you use a lot.

Well bought a small tube of high temp slider grease today. Interesting that this stuff is clear and slightly runny, whereas what is on the car now is more a metallic paste

I have been using one from CRC Sta-lube called Synthetic Caliper Grease which is a synthetic black silicone/moly/graphite stuff. Not the cheapest but it is the most appropiate one I know of.

The PBR stuff you are talking about isn't the dark blue rubber grease is it, that comes in a black tube? Or do they also have one specifically for caliper slides? I could only find the rubber grease on their site.

The stuff I have is black or very very very dark blue and it's for caliper pins. I've had it forever and cant remember where I got it from. Possibly Repco.

I have the PBR stuff too, also from Repco.

Haven't had any dramas with it.
