NA 1.8 Stock Rims

Postby marty085 » Wed Sep 07, 2011 12:02 am

I know this is the wrong thread (should be in "WTB") but I figure that there may be somebody in here who has just removed some stock NA8 14" rims.. (hollow or solid).. anybody got a spare set lying around that they wanna part with for cash?

Or anybody know somebody who does?

Were some on ebay last week - don't think they sold - perhaps try an advanced ebay search on concluded auctions.

There were but auction's finished which is why ebay advanced search suggested. These were the ones, however they've sold:

What did you end up with Marty? Would love to see the wheel/tyre combo and get your feedback on the change.

Looking forward to a similar combo!

Hey Bizi, I put them on the other morning, they came with RE88 tyres which probably have about 60% tread left, all even wear, I was going to put Toyo Teo Plus on them (185/60/14 of course) as they have great reviews but figured I may as well keep the RE88 for now (saving for a house in Sydney man!! Lol) they seem to be just 'okay' not the grippiest even in dry. Gonna go for a drive tomorrow morning thru royal national park to see how they are (others welcome to join me), I'll take some photos of the car with them on (but it just looks like a White NA8 with stockies and lowered ever so slightly lol)

I was going to go with NB8a 15" stock wheels but tbh there's something about the look of the stock na8 wheels that I like.. The nb8a wheels look great on a red or black NA but not so great on a White NA IMHO, makes it a bit fridge looking. Just my opinion!

Yeah, had NB8A OEMs on my white NA8 for a while - ok, but the roundedness of the NB8A rim design with the roundedness of the NA8 body was too much & made it look a bit dated. So agree that the edgier NA8 rims look better than the NB8A rims. However, running a set of these now: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=38583

Nice, they're awesome mate!! I really like the Konig Wideopen (silver for my White NA) too, I'll get some nicer wheels in the future but stockies will have to do for now :)
