What brakes should I get

Hi
I have a an unregistered NA6 that I use for track days and hillclimbs
I have just fitted a turbo setup and a torsen
I have done the suspension suspension and braces etc
Now I'm up to the brakes but I'm running out of money fast
I liked the look of wilwoods but with the dollar the way it is they are getting dearer by the day
Can anyone recomend anything else
PS I have 15 inch rims

I'm sure the yellowspeed are very good but the wilwoods cost alot less
I would like to keep it under $800
Boyracer has some NB8Bs for $800 but they are second hand and will probably need pads
Wilwoods are going to cost a little over $900 brand new with pads but thats only the fronts
I'm leaning towards the wilwoods

spend less on brake upgrade, more on good pads

So whats better bang for buck
nb8a front and rear $450 + pads $500 = $950
nb8b Front and rear $800 + pads $500 = $1300
Wilwoods $820 + prop valve $70 + Rear upgrade ?( i already have very good pads with std brakes ) = $890 + maybe upgrade
looking forward to any replies

Best bang for your buck... nb8b f&R...
If you are spending money to upgrade brakes, I wouldn't waste it on upgrading to nb8a, go with nb8b or the willwoods. The nb8bs are still single-piston calipers vs. the willwoods 4 pots though, something to consider.

Open to offers on my SE Front brakes
http://mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=48893Havent tested the Wilwoods on circuit yet(only Hill Climb) but on road- they are good, but i suspect a pad upgrade may have felt just as good.
The SE brakes are a good thing for most drivers, particularly with more aggressive pads for track work.
Wilwoods look nice

Sorry for the hijack but NB8B/C brakes are the same as the SE brakes, correct?

On Fanta (ex Brian Anderson NA6 lightweight race car I used for supersprints - Wakefield 1.09.25 with n/a 1600) I used
Front NB8A front diameter slotted rotors with Willwood calipers and Willwood A compound pads
Rear NA6 front diameter slotted rotors with Outlaw calipers (similar to Willwood) and Willwood Q compound pads
No handbrake
No brake booster, Mazda master cylinder
Willwood bias adjuster in cabin
15x8" rims
I found this a very effective setup and the Willwood calipers are very easy to change pads on using the locating pins (easier than Mazda calipers).
