Ive got some MCA Blues to install on my 1990 mx5.
I have the general idea of how to install them. But my tool set is limited and dont really have anything realiable to jack it up on (First time)
So i was wondering if anyone whos in the North/western suburbs of Melbourne can help me install them sometime soon?
They've been sitting boxed up for the last 3 weeks and im fairly keen to get them installed.

I'd recommend buying a decent jack, it will be incredibly useful for many years.
Supercheap and similar places usually have jacks for under $50 or so.

Sounds like you know how to put it on. It's better to start getting tools at this point. Go to Costco (have someone with membership if you don't have one) and buy their low profile jack. It's pretty good and if my local mechanic uses it all the time it should be great for DIY.
Also, don't forget jack stands. I don't wanna hear about another car enthusiast getting squashed.

Spring the extra for jack stands with a threaded adjustment if you can.

I spent 40 bucks on a repco jack and went out a few months later and bought a costco one. It took longer to Jack the car up with the cheapy than it did to actually service the car.
You'll also need a breaker bar, various sockets metric sockets and spanners.
An impact gun is nice but not absolutely necessary.
All the things you'll need are pretty basic and are good to have on hand for other jobs. The jack is by far the most expensive bit, but you won't regret buying the tools down the road.

Sweet thanks for the help guys

Im just wondering how much the Costco one is? Around $150ish or something like that?
I found a Arcan jack on ebay for $170 thats a low profile one so that would be good to use? Price wise is it good?

From memory the Arcan one is the Costco one. Not sure on price.
Personally I wouldn't spend that much on a jack, the one I use cost about $100 even, but it's also a 3500kg one (GF and I needed a jack that would lift a Kingswood easily)
Prior to that I was more than happy with my $30 1300kg jack.

Yeah the arcan is the costco one.
It's slightly less than $150 off the top of my head.

I'd be more concerned of getting shot in the Northern/Western burbs!

Please dont take offence. But all this talk about jacks is grrr. You could've just pulled the jack out of the back of the car and had the coilovers in by now.

Have to agree ... apart from PLEASE use decent jack stands!
From memory, a friend to help with getting the stock rears out made it easier, but I have done it a couple of times on my own. Otherwise, a pretty straight forward job ...
