I have had these for a while now but haven't been unable to give them a proper road test, until today.
Verdict.
Road tyre. Dry conditions.
Nearly 100k's of spirited driving through the park and holy mother of god. These things are friggin AWESOME. Everyone who is looking for new road tyres, just buy these. Don't even look at anything else, just buy these. They are phenomenal. So much better than the PS3's it's not even funny.
They did feel quite soft and sticky at the end, so not sure how long they will last but I've never felt so safe and in control of a car. Ever.

Ive got in-between 25-30,000km on mine. the rears are down to the indicators now (id get more days if i was bothered to rotate the tyres)

They are noisy, thats the only gripe i have with them, especially at 5am driving to work haha...

They hold on pretty well in the wet also, i was impressed.

Im deciding weather to get another set or settle for something more "everyday" orientated.

Had two sets. Of them on track they seemed to not overheat like rsr/ku36. Just bought a set of rs3 so I'll update the other way on them I guess. Great in the rain.

I've had a set for a couple of months now. 195/50R15. They grip like nothing else I've dríven on. i reckon they're better in the wet than my first set of tyres were in the dry (although those tyres were beyond rubbish).

I got mine for $670 fit and balanced with an alignment.

What are the traction etc ratings on those AD08r's? Yoko has some new technology that involves orange acid keeping the rubber soft, or so they say.

The ADVAN Neova AD08R are the control tyre for WTAC.

Best track tyre you can get if you cant run semis. Run AD08R's.... if you run anything else you are silly.

The rs3 turns quicker lap times from what I've read on the big forum

I've got RS3s on my MX5 and AD08Rs on my Integra and I've found the AD08Rs to be phenomenal. Haven't pushed the RS3s as hard as the AD08Rs plus they are very different cars. What I did note is that the AD08Rs get grippy very quickly and don't let up. RS3s took a bit longer.

That said, BYP have run both the RS3 and AD08R and have noted minimal difference between the two in the dry and have achieved very similar lap times.

I have run both rs3s and the ad08rs. I found them pretty comparable on the track. about 0.5s between the last time I ran the rs3's and the ad08r's.

The ad08r's were quicker.
That said, I have had a year of driving experience on the rs3's and was getting progressively faster every session. The rs3's were getting towards the end of their life and I was struggling to get under 65s on my last session on them at lakeside.
Next session on the ad08r's I set a new pb which was about 0.5s quicker and was on average quicker than my previous session. I have wondered if I would be able to do the same with a fresh set of rs3's.

Cost: I got the ad08r's when yoko had deal through bob jane. 4 tyres for the price of 3. They were $208 fitted and balanced.
The hankooks were $180-$190ish fitted and balanced.

They say the ad08r's are meant to be run around 34psi hot. I ran them at 31psi, same as I used to run the hankooks. Will like to try and run at 34psi next time

my 235/40/17 are $230ea though them with the RRP being $290

I had them out at lakeside on the weekend. Stuffed my tyre pressure a little so they ended up running at 33psi hot... aim was 34... but anyway. Put down a number of sub 65 laps, best being a 64.5. I also had a1rms on instead of race pads, didn't seem to make much difference, but definitely got on the brakes a little earlier...
