Hi all,
I have a questions for NC owners who have Öhlins coilovers.
I have bought a second hand set of the coilovers, but according to the installation instructions I am missing a pair of washers I will need.


The seller says they can’t remember getting any bag of washers at all when they bought the kit.

Many install threads also talk about having a few washers left over and apparently it is normal for Öhlins to supply a bit extra hardware.

Q1 Can you remember getting washers with your NC Öhlins kit?
Q2 Did you have any left over washers?
Q3 If you have any left over “t3.2 x 46dia.” can I buy a pair off you?

I don't recall installing that washer on my Ohlins.

it looks as though the washer will just sit on the shock shaft and bounce up and down

I don’t think it can move as it will be held in place by the Öhlins custom aluminium washer (which sits on top of the “shoulder” of the shaft, and shown sitting on top of the bump stop in the diagram), and the factory Mazda bushing (shown as “standard rubber” in the diagram)

I'd give these guys a call, tell them the part number you're chasing and see if they can help you out or point you in the direction of local support.

if it's a flat washer( ?) it should be easy to buy- like a suspension fitter or fastener supplier. The washer is probably 1/8 X 1 3/4". The one thing missing is the hole size but not a show stopper.

That was my first plan, but any washer of the diameter I needed had a massive hole in it.

A generous co worker made some for me on their lathe, so I have them now.

Lots of businesses are closed or on skeleton staffing until 8 or 15 Jan - it's unfortunate timing but it may take a while for them to follow up.
