I've got a ton more photos to go through - and showing the good side! I've just been lazy. :)

The 16s look great, by the way. :)

T'was a great fun day(only managed the National Circuit due to an intercooler hose coming off) and now the missus is hooked too!

Thanks to everyone that offered help and a BIG cheers to Sabre and his bit of hose that got me home with confidence and more power!

We're both lookin' forward to the next chance we get to thrash the SE on a track!
Sing that song, puff all night long.......

Was indeed a great day. My car was miles off it's normal pace due to going from a 4.3 to a 4.1 diff. Last time out I did low 1.05's (Thurs 1.07's)on the Clubman and a 1.29 (Thurs 1.34's) on the National. So that will have to be changes at some point.

Neil gave me a run in his freshly finished 2F car late in the day. Wow what a car, into the 1.04's after 4 laps. A real credit to him as he build 95% of it in his garage and the setup has not been sorted or anything yet.

Bummer to you guys with mechanical problems, particularly Rogue who pretty much had his day stuffed. My dad's 89 ran very hot all day too. Seemed to be a few with fairly major overheating problems.

Got good incar footage of the blue NC having a big high speed spin out of turn 2 right in front of me. :D

Great photos Sabretooth. The rest of NatMeet was an absolute blast too. Just finished cleaning everything up and need a big rest to get over the best weekend in our memory. We've already started planning for the next one in Victoria in 2008. This time I'll be on the track not above it. :)

Nice work up on the tower, JBT! Shame you weren't racing this time.

r0gue was lucky I hadn't thrown my old radiator away! I was keeping it for a rainy day - and considering rodding and selling it. In the end I kept it as a spare should the worst happen. I ended up driving home to grab the radiator for r0gue and to make sure that my replacement chair leg cap would hold on the back of the engine where the original came off. I still have it on the car (and really should replace it with one of mine).

Oh, and the pic I promised Danny - here's the NA6 with an NB front, NB interior and Merlot paint job:

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Funny how they have those plates yet neither accurately describe the car.

Anyway! I've FINALLY gotten off my bum and uploaded the pics.

Good stuff. I can't seem to get anything from half way down page 6 onwards to enlarge. Any ideas?

No idea how that happened! Anyway, fixed. The pictures of CharlieBrown decimating the local cone population (amongst others) are now up.

Wow, that's got to be the most messed up MX5 in Aus! (I don't mean in a bad way, I mean in a funny way).

It's an NA6 with NB8A headlights and a NB8B nosecone w/foglights (which people say aren't interchangable!) Looks like it's been done very neatly though. :)

Your work computer sux!

I had a great day.

Rolled the car of the trailer for the first time at the track and ended up within 2 sec of the front running 2F cars in QLD with no work done so far on set up, so I'm very happy with that. Gains will be made in breaking and suspension settings. The true test will be this Sunday when I compete in my first race against the 15-20 local MX5.

You captured some good images Sabertooth. Where's Rees and his shots from the day???

I thought there was something different about that car but never got close enough to it.............even then I probably would have had trouble getting my head around those body mods. 8)

OK so it was my typical off, 140kph   . Didn't help my concours preparations.

Anyhow the car performed beyond my expectations. The fastest car there on road tyres and six fastest on the day.

Currently at Broadbeach, now I'm off to the beach. :D :D
