I'm just out of school and still living with the parents, and we have 4 cars between 3 people, so I'm just using theirs for the moment. These are the interesting ones though:

Slight hijack: Heading south out of Newcastle to Moss Vale, which is the more scenic route - east through Toronto or west through Swansea around Lake Macquarie to pick up Hwy 1 :?:

Oh well, I guess nobody lives around the Newcastle area who knows anything about Lake Macquarie.

We drove down from Armidale to Newcastle today in the old MGB GT. We went via Thunderbolts Way through Walcha to Gloucester, Bucketts Way to Willy Town and then out via a tour around Nelson Bay to Mayfield. Parts of Thunderbolts and Bucketts are a bit chopped up but it was a great drive with fantastic views...would be better by far in the MX-5. We had brunch at Roadies Cafe at Gloucester - highly recommended.

Sorry JBT, I would have tried to give you some advice but I've had limited access to the internet recently. I saw your car a couple of times at NatMeet but didn't get the opportunity to meet you and introduce myself.

Yeah, that would be me. That would be awesome. There seems to be a few Novocastrians on the forum; maybe we could organise a small meet?
