Thunderbolts Way

This is a great piece of driving nestled neatly between 2 other great driving roads, Bucketts Way and The Oxley Highway.

I think it get's overlooked since The Oxley Hwy is quite epic, however Thunderbolts is a great hilly run out of Gloucester

There are some great little river crossings as it winds it's way up the valley.

Then there is a steep climb up the mountain

There's a decent lookout at the top of the mountain. It was fogged in when we were there, but the mist parted and gave us a glimpse of the view.

Then, you drop down onto the tablelands for a decent run over the long low hills into Walcha.
