Foe

My ebay one has an anti hijacking feature that locks the doors 30 seconds after the car is started. (I can't turn it off)

Not much good for anti hijacking when there isn't a roof on the car

I look at it as keeping me nimble
Jumping through the back window and all (Stop laughing Mr Q)

Does it do this even if the doors are open? My alarm does something similar, but only if the doors are closed, and it does this right after it's been switched to 'on'.

Basically it's impossible to get locked out of the car with this feature in mine. If you're starting the car, you're either sitting in the driver's seat, or with the driver's door open (in which case it won't auto lock because the door's open). The only way you can turn on the engine without sitting in the driver's seat and not having the door open is to have the window down. If you still can't get into the car with the window down something's wrong with you...

Ok let me set the picture...

The last Wakefield track day Mr Q and I went to, we stayed in a hotel room in Goulburn overnight. I started the car (windows up as everything was still frosty, as I was loading the boot with the bags (helmet etc) the door closed and locked me out.

I had to unzip the rear window and go through the frosty rear  (so to speak) to reach the door handle.

It made for a laugh to the other patrons, who were one of those charity 4wd cruises.

There you go.

PS: a couple of other times when it was raining i closed the door, when i went to open my garage door.
Huh?

Right, well that's a royal pain. I'm glad mine does it immediately, and only if the door is closed once the ignition is switched to 'on'.
