I've been having problems with hot start which got me researching injector dead time. I'm running RX-8 yellow injectors 440 cc. Part number 195500-4450.
Anyway I came across some info from the rotary people regarding these injectors.
6.5 Volts 2.866ms
7.75 volts 1.901ms
9 volts 1.409ms
10.25 volts 1.095ms
11.5 volts .821ms
12.75 volts .660ms
14 volts .510ms
15.25 volts .411ms
16.5 volts .287ms
Doing some maths reveals
At 13.2 volts the deadtime is 0.6ms
which in megatune converts to a dead time table table of:
7.75 volts 317%
10.25 volts 182.5%
11.5 volts 137%
12.75 volts 110%
13.2 volts 100%
14 volts 85%
15.25 volts 68.5%
16.5 volts 47.8%
Going to load up these dead times and will report back results. I note that at 13.2 volts the deadtime is 0.6ms, which is a lot less than the Tunerstudio default of 1.0 ms
how did you go with that Red Bullet?
Received the Rx8 Injectors today.
Dead times are anywhere between 0.6-1.0 researching on the net
its going into a MS2 PnP the assumption that
the Battery Voltage correction is Dead time/voltage
If was to set the dead time around 0.8ms that would make the correction at 0.060ms ?
