89 NA6 - drivers side under dash interior light

The interior light on the lower part of the dashboard on the drivers side of my 89 NA6 isn't working. When I push on it it illuminates so I assume a loose/dodgy connection. What's instructions for removing it to access the back? Given that the car is 28 years old it's better to ask than end up snapping brittle plastic...

It just pops out if you lever it from the middle of a side where the retaining clips are situated.

Probably some carbon build up on the switch contacts. Should be easy to clean.
Also suggest that you rotate the light 180 degrees, so that you get more light into the cabin.
You can also get more light by getting a led festoon globe from somewhere like jaycar or supercheap.
