Sort of new.

The older pics had destroyed 195/50/15 on them, they've now got 205/50/15 with tread

Why is the front end higher?

Because for some reason Mazda decided on the NB "hey, let's make the front bar sit about 1-2 inches higher than the skirts!"

Normally it's not that noticable, but every time I look from the side I think, damn I need a lip.

Ancient thread, figured I'd update with what I can remember.

Hardtop is still in primer, haven't painted it yet.
Installed foglights, one caught fire
Installed air horns, sounds loud
Put on some borrowed wheels, another set of MS03s, got bored with the Axis wheels
Rear quarter panel got kicked in by a drug addict, and I scraped it on a bollard while half asleep
Bled the brakes, flushed fluid, apparently you aren't supposed to use the same fluid for 15 years.
Installed new O2 sensor, runs good now
Installed narrowband o2 display, Jaycar funtimes.
Indian guy smacked the rear bumper, got resprayed at his expense.
Installed dashcam, work xmas bonus money.
Started planning to tidy it up again this year.
Broke a windscreen, put a sticker over crack.
Crack grew, more stickers.
Bumper/bonnet has chips, front bar got scraped.
Front end got stoved in, car almost written off.
Now at repairers, next week repairs start.
Waiting on price for then to also fix the crackhead dent.
Decided to clean up parts while the car is stock.

So, yeah.
I figured this will be the year of re-birth for my car. Re-do all the crap half arsed things I did originally, and put it back to being a decent car.

Sounds like my car, lots of small stuff dragging it down then using a big hit as a chance to bring back some of the lustre to it.

  Hooley Dooley Nick, what happened? Who remoddled the front end? Did Pam have a hissy fit and lash out?

Pam was driving it at the time, she was following a car as the lane ended, as her head was turned to check there was enough gap to merge over (people like to be smart and accelerate and suddenly remove gaps) a cyclist flew out from the roadside in front of the leading car, the leading car stomped on the brakes to not kill the suicidal moron on the bike, by the time Pam looked back there was no time to stop.

So yeah, unfortunate, but just an unpredictable combination of selfish dicks on one side, and a suicidal bike on the other.

It's currently at the panel shop being repaired under insurance, hopefully done by the end of next week (they said all the parts had arrived on Friday)
