Which roll-bar did you get?

Of course they have to be more expensive!

Cleaned the drains a few weeks ago. When I checked again over the weekend just past I found that the drivers side had blocked again so have cleared it. I've taken the parcel shelf carpet off and it looks like there are few leaks in the rain rail so will give it a crack at repairing one evening.

I've still got the AGI roll bar from the previous car.

Ok, so not the same but have a look from this post onward in my Garage thread to see how I went about modifying the factory wind blocker to work with the MX5+ rollbar.

I'm not sure if you will need to go about it the same way, it depends on how much room there is.
I've also seen them installed in front of the roll-bar but you lose some seat travel by doing that......

So managed to find the source of the leak. The car had no rain rail fitted, not cracked, but nothing at all, sigh! As you can image there is a fair bit of damage under there that need remediation. No photos as once I've got it sorted I want to forget about it.

I think that the car has either had a cage in it at one stage or the previous owners drilled holes to try and sort the damage, sigh! Any way all going well should be sorted in the next week as we need the car next weekend.

A big thanks to Okibi for selling his spare rain rail at short notice. Fitted it Saturday and looks like the issue is now sorted. Just need to get the carpet back in and sort the SRS fault that's come up (thinking its when I unplugged the seatbelt pretensioners)

So the airbag light is flashing? How many flashes? I also have an ODBII dongle thingo if you need.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

SRS light sorted. Looks like I hadn't plugged the drivers side seat belt properly. I tried using my OBD scanning tool but the fault didn't come up. Oh well car is assembled and we took it out for a drive and enjoyed it in todays weather so it was all good.

Time for a bit of an update. Car is going well and we are getting out and driving it a fair bit and enjoying it. I still need to do the timing belt and water pump. Just need to get the motivation and buy the bits.

Have managed to pick up a set of 16x8 +38 Enkei RPF1 with AD08Rs fitted. Got them on the car this evening. Am liking the look of it fills out the guards nice, but am wondering if 225s are a bit big! Will look even better when I get my new springs in the rear that will reduce the ride height by 20mm ad also allow me to add some more camber.

I've ordered one of NitroDans intakes so am hoping to get that in the car and release a few more HP and hopefully some intake noise.

Nice!

What is the sidewall profile of the AD08Rs? 40 or 45? I think a 40 profile should give you roughly the right rolling diameter.......

Got any pics?

Was hoping to get the springs in the car today but struggled to get the nuts that hold the struts to the car off. Think the water that had been leaking made them stiff. have sprayed some CRC and it's become a problem for a different day!
