It was actually your old one lol. I bought if from another forum member on here who posted it for sale. It just happened to pop up for the right price at the right time, so i jumped on it.
Yes the car turned from a bit of weekend fun into a full build for the targa Aus series. It's time to move up from karting and hillclimb to something I always aspired too.

Where did you get the hardtop from and what does it weigh? Are you happy enough with the fitment now?

Cheers

Thanks a heap was thinking of starting another thread with a better title but I'm too far in now haha.
Read just above for where I got the hardtop and i have been told it weighs around the 3-4kg mark. Though I haven't weighed it yet. Yes the fitment is great took a little fiddling but only a few minutes to do.

It's looking very bare now. The cage guy has gone on a little holiday so that outs us another week behind so I will get the engine out and paint the bay and fit all of the other little odds and ends that need to go in there.

Engine is ready to come out and the rad support is now repaired and painted as it had a few small cracks from a previous repair years ago by the looks of it .

Haha yeah unfortunately space is at a premium at the moment so I have to keep the bonnet on as long as possible. Definitely need a bigger shed.

Lots has happened since my last update. Some things I won't go into until it's finished but. Here is a quick pic of the engine progress. Wiseco pistons , corello rods , big porting of the head and cams are already done . Need to complete the build soon so the engine bay can be finished and painted ASAP.

Also some jap spec headers in the mix.

How the car currently sits. Still needs interior painted and assembly done.

Argh why can't it be done already! Have so many parts to fit and work to do yet no time to work on the car.
