The soft top came today but still awaiting a new rain rail seems as though no one has any at the moment.

I'm hoping to have some completed photos for you guys on Tuesday night.

Have been smashed at work lately so haven't been able to get nearly as much time on the car as I would like. I have progress although has continued.
Picking up the car this weekend then it will be back to my house to reassemble everything for it.

Also have picked up all the steam pipe and tubing. So I can make the turbo manifold and begin the underbody bracing .
Am going up the wall not being able to drive and fine tune the cars setup over the last few weeks.

Ok guys so managed to get a little time on the car across the weekend and have fitted the whole front end made sure everything was aligned. Have also begun on getting the interior back together. Car is coming along well now and I will be putting the cage and soft top back on tonight.

Also have found the colour very hard to take photos of that do it justice. It also doesn't help that the car is currently very dusty.

Little bit of progress tonight, the rear end is now assembled and ready to go only the interior is left now.

Also as you can see its not really brown at night it looks black from any distance.

Car is most of the way there. I decided to do a few more things whilst putting it together.
Seeing as the whole interior was out I decided to shampoo and scrub the whole lot which is still in progress lol. Have removed all of the radio wiring and have begun to wire in the new setup which includes a small amp behind the passenger seat to help kick it along. It's nothing special really just alpine type a 6.5"speakers in the doors and new headrest speakers too but they will be replaced with buckets shortly anyways.
Have completed the rollcage fitment and most of the reassembly is complete now but I'm purposely holding off washing it until I get the roof finished and back on.

Photos really don't do it justice at all. Will also have my bracing complete in the next week or so.

More updates lots of welding and testing has been done on the bracing side of things. Going to leave my test setup on for a few weeks before I get it powder coated though just to be sure no modifications are needed.
Finally got around to getting the soft top on the frame and then onto the car.

Also finished the stereo installation , oh my it's so good to have Bluetooth and iPod connectivity in the car. Should also note that I picked up a new cubby holder from mx5 mania to replace the ashtray.

Love being able to drive the car again it's brilliant to drive. Hopefully the chassis setup will be finished soon so I can start on the power side of things.

Ok so I will endeavor there as it's my first time doing a soft top and well to be completely honest it seems very tight when closing it .
Can anyone answer if this is normal as they may need to stretch in the sun or something?
I have triple checked all of the install instructions and gone over everything and it seems fine in every way but just a little tight. Has anyone else come across this problem before?

On another note though all the little trim pieces and rain rail etc seem to be the hardest part of the whole job so far. It's taken me far longer than I first expected to do this but seeing as I plan on keeping the car for a long period I don't really mind too much.

I also have the car it's first wash since the respray and assembly and I am so over the top happy with how it turned out although I still need someone with a good camera to take photos as it always seems to look just black when I take one hahahaha newb.

I will try and get some more photos up soon (hopefully much better ones too).

Also still trying to find a sweet spot with the coilovers settings. It's not that I'm unhappy but I still find the car is very easy to under steer unless I load the front perfectly when pushing into a corner. Or maybe it need downforce [FLUSHED FACE]

Totally normal. Leave it up for a couple of days, and park it in the sun when you can. It will stretch out. Mine was so tight when it was first (professionally) installed that I would struggle to close it at all when the weather was cold. Now it goes up and down with no worries at all.

Maybe fork out a few bucks for a wheel alignment to specs available on the net.
More to handling then just coilover height/rebound etc.
