Did some general maintenance on this over the weekend.

192,377kms on the odo (for my own benefit)

New coolant
New Thermostat and gasket
New Temp sensor probe

Subaru Upper engine cleaner
Auto trans fluid in to oil to aid in flush
New Oil
New Oil filter
New Spark Plugs
Clean air filter
BBQ cleaner the engine bay

And a wash

Hitting nebo/gloruious again next saturday (6:30am at Samford BP if anyone else is keen)

To do...
Plastidip front window surround
Fit Petersen oil catch can
Work out what the (metal bangles rattling type) sound is from the wheel somewhere
Research which is any strut tower braces fits over the mx5 mania intake
Look for door bars
Look for butterfly brace
Look for fixed back bucket seat

I think I might do the mirrors too as from front on, they are above the door line so would match the rest of the black upper half theme.
Also need to patch up a section of the windscreen surround..

note for others... run a razor along the edge where you mask it off before pulling the tape off

Agreed. In fact it's exactly the colour combo I will eventually paint my car, except I'll do gloss black. :)

Well the roof and other windows rubbers etc ate all Matte black so I went this way.

And it's easily reversable.

Curious to see how durable it is.

Also picked up an offset bracket for the front plate.
removed the original one to find scuffs on the bumper behind it so will touch that up and take another pic once sorted.

Daniel B - yes, same TTT. eat a dick! I forget who you are.

Not much happening here..
Just enjoying it.

Mt Nebo is close enough for weekly drives.
Invited a few other car enthusiasts... next minute, 22 cars..
Cafe owner was run off his feet at 6:30am on a sunday morning but was very happy for the business

Got a drivers side Sparco Sprint V
Image

This left me with my left elbow pressing the power window button accidentally and frequently.
Also the arm rest was no longer at the right height so out it went.

omgpham to the rescue with a delete kit.

Much better.

Also got a number plate side mount bracket to clean up the front.

but this showed how the previous bracket had marked the front bar.
So I've fixed that but am yet to polish it up..
Will post pics when done.

The plastidip seems to be holding up well - I was thinking about doing the mirrors and the idea of doing the windscreen surround had crossed my mind. Came up pretty well on yours.

Yeah it's had about 5 washes.
No stains on it and hasn't torn off.

I don't use a pressure washer though. not sure how it would how up to that.
