Re: Stuart & Lisa's MINX
Very happy with this string of 5 laps all within about 1/2 sec.
The Hankook RS-3s are so good. Didnt get loose once.
So i guess i just need to push harder and carry more corner speed now.
Maybe next year I will have to use 6th gear in the straight!
Found the limit of 5th at 192kph.
Best lap PB @ 66.02

Not enough to notice - rolling diameter is what matters. Not rim size.

Re: Stuart & Lisa's MINX
Update time.
OK, so I wasnt happy with the brakes at Lakeside.
My mistake really. I was using the 'default' Wilwood BP10 pads in front.
They were dissapointing to say the least, and after getting hot at the track, became unsafe and scary on normal road duties.
So, after emails to Emilio, he advised the BP10s are crap and no one should use them! Derr, why do they sell them ?
So, now have Carbotech 1521s for DD duties, and because they are so easy to change out, with the wilwood toaster slots, I have some XP10s for Track. The 1521s are 'ok', certainly quiet, progressive and work from cold.
The XP10s are AWESOME! Very 'grabby' and overwhelm the front tyres easily. But squeak a little, dont work on first application, and wont last long for DD duties.
Also, today fitted the Beatrush PPF Brace.
I was getting horrible axle tramp on hard starts, at MotoX events.
Hopefully this will support the rear end.
Only short drive so far (40mins to install)
No noticeable NVH increase, or gear whining some complain about.
Will review after a few miles and few hard starts.
Clearance seems ok.

Congrats on your achievements Stuart, now you have to decide which trophy you need to mount as a hood ornament

Don't worry about dying, worry about not living!

Hey Dave, maybe next year they will give a trophy for most Cones Killed!
You will be in with a chance for that.
Or maybe 'Irregularity' for most variable lap times

Hey!!
Nice one Stu, well done!!
On the way home and just before The Gap, tight downhill right hander with a group of people looking over the edge!! Wonder if another one went 'west' over the edge?? It was just before the 60kph sign coming into The Gap, I was having fun in the NA with a biker behind me, couldn't match me thru the bends!!

Re: Stuart & Lisa's MINX
Here is my fastest session from Lakeside January 30 2012.
Laps in 65s/66s - actually doesnt look very fast in vid.
And surprisingly, all done at 10psi, my wet weather and street 'map', because my boost map selector switch wire had come off
so was short a few psi and a few HP. Holding 6th gear flat to the firewall through the kink, but missing that extra boost and topping at @ 193kph
PB of 1.05.53
