Well i ended up stripping this car completely leaving only the rollcage and the wiper motor. It ended up in a sims metal bin not long after this pic.

Pulled the motor, box susp, brakes, etc in one go and the rear too.

Then i decided not to use the green car, and instead use the white car i bought off ebay sight unseen. It had an nb front conversion on it but was not a good job. I have been using it to assemble the hardtops on.

So i stripped this one in preperation to get it ready to be the new race car. It came up really good, much cleaner than i thought.

I got a cage off james from his car, but it is in the way of the seat as i am too tall to fit in these cars withouth the seat right back. So i rang up meridian and asked if he could do a half cage for it. After talking for a bit he convinced me to start building the new NB race car instead as this is basically a full build.

It's hard to keep up, seems you have an embarrassment of riches and lots of fun solutions.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

The only riches i have are persistance and my hands. I suppose i should end this thread now and start a new one for the NB.

I forgot to mention that i even made NA front guards for the white car. Pity the c.f was not long enough to do the guard in one go. I have ordered some more c.f for tmrow that is wider. If i have time i will do the left guard. I have not done the bottom of the guard as i was going to remake that part to help air escape. That and i backed over the mould with the trailer and it had a brand new guard in it at the time. I was going to throw the mould away and realised it was still usable.

Had a brief chat to you at Winton was there as a token pit bitch for the day.

We called your car the Coke Can early in the day since it was red and black and nice and light.

Seems spooky it's now crushed completely like a can.

Hope the rebuilding goes smooth and 10 points for working so hard on your fun.
