Re: Josh's Na6
^ Having just got back on the road this week after an enforced absence, I totally agree with that. I've been able to appreciate it so much more, but even the increased amount of walking everywhere was enjoyable (public transport not so much).

Re: Josh's Na6
So I just found a post over on CRnet from a Victorian red NA owner, who posted a picture with a very rare exhaust. I wonder if there is something you were going to tell us?

Re: Josh's Na6
Okay so MAYBE I left a couple things out of this build thread haha

Yes, it's a St May centre exit shotgun exhaust and yes those are red altezza's XD
However, after fitting the exhaust, I got home to see the.. blah blah blah.. see this thread http://mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=52408
It's not overly massacred but I just got pissed off with trying to make it work and ended up selling it to a friend. It's still in the garage at the moment but I'll be parting with it soon enough. I was tempted to keep it and do a bumper cut out and raise the exhaust right up but I cbf. Plus the last thing I need is MORE cop attention XD
Then the Altezza's just looked waaaaaaaay too ricey so they've been taken off too. Back to stock rear end with stock looking exhaust and awaiting an oem rear lip. I've not given up on the centre exit idea but I think if I redo it, It'll just be a custom job. I was pretty happy to have another rare part for a change though. Felt good XD

Re: Josh's Na6
It's about time I updated this thing.
So things have taken an unexpected turn and the car is heading in a completely different direction now. St May exhaust is off, Garage vary lip, side fuser skirts, kg works spoiler and red altezza's and stickers have all been removed
Foglights have been removed and the stock number plate bracket back in place
Paint had changed too
What the hell happened?????

It was time for a change! Oem front and rear lips, red pillars and red flares with guard edging. Still working on the height, but hot damn do I love driving this thing now
. Even at current height. I'm trying to make it more stock looking and classier. To be honest I was never happy with it before, it was to aggressive and just waiting for a defect.
A few other things have happened too. I'm nearing the completion of my parts quest and soon It's going to be boosted
Nothing crazy though. Will be running an m45 custom kit I picked up off an awesome member on the forum, running 9psi with a reduced pulley. Megasquirt will be going in the second I pick up a timing light. Same with the new brakes when I get some free time.
Lsd gets picked up monday.
New exhaust on it's way and a bucket
I'm very excited.
However, on a down note... I've been pushing the car pretty hard lately due to driving withdrawals. As a result the waterpump has gone ka-blam! and the engine has developed a nasty tick as will as a high pitched squeal when revving up. The good news is that I'll be picking up my new engine coincidentally next weekend. Bit disappointed that the car had to sh*t itself the week before hand but thats life.
Just have to score a clutch and a few other bits and we're off to a brand new start on a new exciting chapter of my mx5 ownership.

Re: Josh's Na6
Cheers guys! They're Autokonexion v1's from memory, the 30mm version. I got sick of them in black and sprayed them over in red, a little matte for my liking but some sanding and polishing can fix that and maybe another lick of paint. My favorite part is are the rubber guard liners I put between the body and flares.
As of the last week or so, the car now has a 'new' (low km) b6 motor, exedy heavy duty sports clutch, nb8a brakes with greenstuff pads, and a new torsen t2 in an nb8a case, all installed. It's become a fun car to drive since it's gotten its new lease on life.

Thanks guys for the help! Best crew anyone could have <3 Cheers to mx595, pamex, hkskansei, daffyflyer, and jojo!!!
Plus a new pedal box while we were at it

Took a trip to a local car meet for charity over the weekend.
Thanks Lon for the photo!

Feel like I need another gv lip lol, I miss mine
Undecided on ducktails though...
And a teaser of things to come...

Ok so lowered the car, switched back to GV lip, picked up some frame rails, cops bracket and some new goodies for the s/c stuff. It's slow prog but I want to do this right and do i once.

Re: Josh's Na6
Okey Dokey! I have some semi-good news.
So lots of time has passed and I have lots of unopened boxes full of goodies to go on this thing. I still need a few more bits and pieces but the bulk of it is sitting in my room, the garage and the lounge. Normally I slap stuff on the second I get it but I suppose circumstances haven't been great and work has been raping me... Good news Is I have some more cash flow though.
In other news, I have acquired a new daily! This thing has been a godsend too. I forgot what driving a comfortable car was like. I should feel guilty about this, but I think I am in love with my Honda.

So back to the Mx5, I have a short parts list:
- Mx6 tps
- oil pressure sender (mines busted)
- pod filter
- heat shield
- throttle cable
All will be bought before the end of the week
As soon as I've got those goodies and the stuff I have in transit arrives, I'll bolt all my gear on and enjoy what I've been working towards. That or blow my new motor...
